Episode 7 - "Hachiken goes to Giga Farm" 「八軒、ギガファームへ」
In this episode Hachiken gets a day off from work, So Mrs. Mikage asks if there was anywhere he wants to go, so he's been wanting to check out Tamako's farm; Giga farm. Upon arrival they are greeted by Tamako....'s father who has the exact same facial feature (minus the facial hair). Tamako arrives to give Hachiken a tour of the farm, eventually Hachiken gets into witnessing a calf being born, everyone says its a blessing while Hachiken thinks it was grotesque. Hearing that Tamako is wanting to take over the family job made Hachiken worry about Aki and her feelings towards taking over her family's farm.
This episode was a bit slow, it was definitely building up for the next few episodes, where I think Aki is gonna confront her parents with her feelings towards taking over the family business and how she wants to work with horses. The story deepens, but while keeping the subtly comedy, Aki's father glaring at Hachiken giving him the shivers, the fierce competition between Tamako and her father fighting for the rights of the farm. At the end of the episode Hachiken mentions that when he gets back to school he's gonna have to prepare for Pork Bowl to become bacon. mmm bacon.
